CPSA Training Opportunity for DSM-5

Community Partnership of Southern Arizona (CPSA) is hosting a training opportunity on Saturday, July 27, 2013, to educate providers on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Fifth Edition (DSM-5).

The DSM-5 workshop, jointly sponsored by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the Arizona Psychiatric Society (APS), will help facilitate the transition to DSM-5 from DSM-IV-TR. The release of DSM-5 marks the first major revision to the classification of diagnostic criteria for mental disorders since DSM-IV was published in 1994.

Participants in the training will be informed on the history, development and use of DSM-5, as well as the changes in DSM-5 from DSM-IV-TR how the new criteria can be used in clinical settings, in research, and for administrative purposes.
